Farehaven State Park

We had a great time last week visiting Farehaven state park. We go there every year (Tim, my Grandparents, and I). This is the 2nd year that we have gotten to bring the kids. Its definitely a lot more fun the older they get. They're starting to be so much fun and so smart. They loved it this year and boyy were they tired after.

First we had a picnic lunch. After a long drive to get there that is.

Then Madi and John hung out with Grandma and Papa while Tim and I went on a walk. Some nice scenery too!

We played in the sand and the water too!

It was an awesome day and we cant wait to go back next year! What a fun tradition to start with our children. Did I mention that my grandparents used to camp there with their parents, and when they grew up they took my father and aunt camping there to. Just a fun fact but when my Grandpa was a kid he was camping there during the filming of a Marilyn Monroe movie they were doing (cant remember which one). Anyways he was walking around down there and he said she went speeding by in her pink Cadillac lol. OF COURSE she would have a pink Cadillac!

Days 13-14 Blog Challenge

Day 13: What is your earliest memory?
I would say my earliest memory is probably a Christmas I spent at my grandparents house. I remember my Grandma was giving me a bath and she said We have to hurry because Santa might come while your in here. Then I heard banging and she said hurry hurry his reindeer just landed on the roof. Then loud jingle bells. We went out to the living room and all the gifts were under the tree. That Santa AKA Grandpa was a quick one lol. I have a ton of early memories with my grandparents and now my children get to make memories with them to. Its very special to see them together and my kids adore them!

Day 14: If you won the lottery..
If I won the lottery I would start by buying myself an old Cadillac or a vw bus and have them fixed up. Yes I watch to much kounts kustoms haha. Then I would buy Tim any car he wanted and Id buy us a nice house (not to big cause I don't wanna have to clean a mansion). I would set up college and trust funds for Madison, John, my sister and my niece and nephew. Then pay off my grandparents bills and buy them a house right near us. As for the rest I would just save and be smart with it. At least I hope i would. Oh and I would pay for both my kids wedding if they every get married and I would pay for Dallas and Jeff's wedding :) haha right doll?

Eggs of course and a ton of condiments. Left over pasta and hmm I think that's about it. Deffinetely glad I'm doing this before I go shopping or I'd be here all day listing things.

Day 9&10

Sorry this has to be quick. Going on a date night to see an outdoor movie at the beach.

My worst habit is biting my nails. Gotta try to quit that since the other day my daughter saw me doing it. She proceeded to pick up my hand and start chewing them also lol.

My favorite physical feature is my eyes. They change from hasel to green and sometimes brown. I also usually love my hair but I've had a hard time keeping up with it since the kids have gotten mobile and more "busy".

Day 7 & 8 Catch-up

Been busy the past few days because Madison has been sick. Day 7 is what are your pet peeves? My biggest pet peeve is when my husband leaves his dirty socks on the floor. I also can't stand when people don't put the carts back in the cart return.. its five feet away walk over there and do it!!

Day 8: What's in your handbag? I used to be obsessed with purses! I had luis vitton, chanel, gucci, dolce and gabbana (all fake of course lol). Since the kids were born I have lost my passion for purses so to speak lol. It is way to hard to carry a diaper bag, a purse, and 2 kids. So now I use a vera bradley diaper bag with a matching wallet. Inside is mostly the kid's stuff, diapers, wipes, extra clothes, snacks, etc. I have one pocket where I keep my wallet, phone, keys,  and chapstick. Ah the glamorous life of a mom ♡♥

Day 6 of Blog Challenge

Yes I am aware I skipped day 5. I couldn't remember names of 20 songs I love haha. Anyways as for today's challenge of my 5 senses right now. I see two messy two year olds lol. I smell spaghetti sauce (which is all over their face). I feel the cold chair i'm sitting on. I hear Madison saying "more milk more milk" and "john saying all done!". I taste pasta and ice tea. Well I hope I did that right and didn't misunderstand the challenge lol. I always coordinate pasta night with bath time so off to the tubby the kids go!! GOODNIGHT!

Day 4: What are you afraid of?

I think the only thing I am genuinely afraid of is seeing my children or husband in pain, physical or emotional.  Being a first time mother I sometimes worry about the choices I make as a parent and how it will affect my kids in the long run. I try not to go through life being scared of what could happen and try to enjoy what is happening.

..oh and spiders haha!!

On another note Tim, the kids,  my grandparents and I had a great day today at the Farehaven beach state park. I will try to post sone pictures tomorrow!

Day 3: Favorite Quote

I could not choose just one so here are some of my favorite's. Yes they are from children's Dr. Suess books lol. Wise man he was.

This quote is something I really hope to instill in my children. I think sometimes as parents we are very good at pointing out and accentuating our children's great qualities. However if we do not show them that we appreciate our own good qualities and are happy with who we are how can we expect them to. Monkey see Monkey do..lol maybe that should have been my favorite quote.

Also a very important message. This particular one hits home with me because of John's Spina Bifida. I honestly believe he can do anything he wants to do. He may do it a little different than some people, but we are all different and he is one pretty amazing kid!!

I have read to my kids pretty much every day since they were born. Yes I was that mom that brought books to the hospital to read to a newborn lol. I loved reading as a child, and still now. Its a way to escape the world for a little while and really just enjoy yourself. Only problem with me is when I start a book I love I have a really hard time stopping to participate in the real world.

Well these are a few of my favorite quotes. Enjoy!

The 31 Day Blog Challenge

Found this 31 day blog challenge from a friend on facebook. Thought I'd give it a try to help me get used to blogging on a regular basis! Anyways here goes Day 1 Introduction: I am a stay at home mom to the most amazing almost-two year olds. My kids are absolutely 110% my life and I am not afraid to admit that I am obsessed with them ♡♥. I have been married to my best friend for 6 years and it has been amazing to watch him change from a young kid to a husband and now a father. We have been together since I was 15 years old. I like to scrapbook, do arts and crafts with the kids, and play outdoors with them. I love planning fun outings or learning activities for them to do.  Before they were born I was an assistant preschool teacher so I try to incorporate some of what I have learned from that into my daily life with the them. Tim and I are kind of movie buffs (although our taste sometimes differs) so any date nights usually consist of a movie and/or dinner. One thing we have in common is we are both HUGE Walking Dead fans. Cant wait for it to start again in October so we can do our usuall Sunday night together. Madison and John like movies to so its fun to share movies that Tim and I loved as children with our own children. We of course watch the new ones with them to. They'r favorites right now are Monster's Inc (monster), Nemo (memo), and they also love the tv shows Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,  and Sophia the first. I think that about sums it up.. maybe? Until next time.

Under Construction

This blog is currently under construction, I guess you could say our family is to. We are in the middle of quite a few changes in our house. In the past 3 years we went from a family of 2 ( Tim and I) to a family of 4. We got pregnant with the help of IVF in February of 2010 and the twins (Madison and John) were born in November of 2011. We recently moved into a new house. Tim is in the process of trying to get a job that could change our life soo much, for the better that is! hmm let's see what else. Ohh we are trying to decide if we should get a puppy or have another baby in the somewhat near future (or both if its up to me). As for this blog I am hoping to figure out how to work everything and keep it updated better than my previous blog. Bare with me while I'm learning through trial and error and chasing after my twin toddlers at the same time!!
